CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are investigating after a man was found dead in southeast Charlotte Saturday evening.
Officers responded to the scene on Doris Avenue near Richland Drive at 10 p.m. When they arrived, officers found a man who had been stabbed.
MEDIC confirmed Calvin Hilton, age 69, died at the scene.
Police initially tweeted that they were investigating a homicide, but confirmed to Channel 9 that this was a death investigation. In a release Sunday, police said they are now investigating the case as a homicide.
