The Walking Dead star Norman Reedus teases “hell” for Daryl as Leah returns 💥😭😭💥

Fans were treated to a surprise in The Walking Dead’s season 10 bonus episodes in the form of the surprisingly tender and sweet relationship between Daryl (Norman Reedus) and Leah, (Lynn Collins) despite both being self-proclaimed loners.

But, as season 11 continues and Leah is expected to return soon, Reedus says that Daryl will have “hell to pay” for giving up on her in the previous season, teasing that it could be “nice hell or horrible hell”.

Speaking to TVLine, Reedus explained: “There are definitely some unresolved issues there that will come back… to be part of the conflict.”

Despite admitting that he had fallen in love with Leah, Daryl very quickly gave up searching for her, despite spending years searching for Rick. Additionally, because her loner personality makes it hard for her to trust others, it will be hard for her to come back from that.

Though Reedus did not go into much detail about the forthcoming drama between the pair, he did say “Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned” as a concept will “come into play”.

He said, “It’s hard to talk about this because it’s such a storyline. But the fact that he spent so much time looking for Rick, that he’s still out there looking for Rick and won’t let go of that, is part of the reason he can’t open up to try something new.”

That applies to both Daryl’s friendships and what fans are hoping is a budding relationship with Connie (Lauren Ridloff).

“A lot of times on this show, something opens and then never gets closed, then something new opens, so there’s all these unresolved issues,” he continued.

As The Walking Dead streams its eleventh and final season, fans will have to wait to see what Leah’s return means for Daryl and his close relationship with Carol too.

The Walking Dead will air season 11 beginning August 22, 2021 on AMC in the US. Meanwhile, UK viewers can now watch all episodes via STAR on Disney+, where season 11 will premiere on August 23.
