Mirzapur: The law seems to be out of order in the state of Uttar Pradesh. In a fresh incident, a trader was shot dead at his shop on Wednesday afternoon in Mirzapur district of the state. The shocking daylight murder led to panic in the area.
The incident took place in Dadra Bazar under Madihan police station area on Wednesday. The victim has been identified as 26-year-old Satyam Patel.
Sometime later, the angry locals caught hold of the goon and brutally thrashed him leading to his death. Police have taken custody of both the bodies and sent them for post-mortem, according to a report in Hindi daily Amar Ujala.
The victim Satyam was a iron trader and was sitting at his shop when a goon approached him and shot at him and fled. Satyam died on the spot. After shooting the trader, the accused identified as Rishabh hid in a nearby house.
The locals then chased him and cornered him at the house and thrashed him to death. The accused is said to be the son of a bank official in Karonda.
Shockingly, the police personnel were present at the spot when the murder accused was brutally thrashed. Rishabh was taken to a CHC where he succumbed to his injuries.
