The Walking Dead season 11B is just over a month away from hitting our screens, and an official promo clip has now teased that Norman Reedus’ Daryl Dixon could be in trouble.
The short clip features a photograph of Daryl (with his short hair) on the Wall of the Lost, which is the Commonwealth’s notice board of missing persons.
That by itself isn’t necessarily ominous, but the slow zoom, flickering light and caption that reads “Daryl’s come a long way since the beginning” makes you feel like something is bad is going to happen, doesn’t it?

Of course, Daryl and Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride) are getting their own spin-off show, so it’s a pretty good guess that they will survive whatever the final episodes of the main show throw at them.
Previously, showrunner Angela Kang explained to Digital Spy the decision making behind the spin-off, revealing they didn’t know the final season would be the final season when they were planning the series.
“The interesting thing is, we knew that Daryl/Carol was coming. The decisions for that, plus the show ending – they didn’t happen simultaneously, but they happen to kind of mirror each other,” Kang said.
“So we were already working on the writing for this season a bit by the time we knew that this was going to be the last season. But then the episode order got extended.”
She added: “It was something that had been talked about well before I even came on board to write it. The idea is a germinating idea that’s been around for a while.”
Although Reedus will be kept busy with The Walking Dead universe for a while, there’s plenty of speculation that he could be joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Ghost Rider soon too – speculation he’s only been too happy to fuel.
The Walking Dead season 11 airs on AMC in the US and STAR on Disney+ in the UK.
